Privacy policy
This policy explains how Directory Models uses the information you provide to the agency and how the model shortlist works in your browser.
Data controller
TIMMERMAN EXPERTISE, a simplified joint-stock company with SIREN number 938 071 297 and its registered office at 18 rue Truffaut, 75017 Paris, is the data controller for personal data sent to the agency.
For any questions about your data: scouting@directory-models.com .
Information you provide
For an application, you may provide your identity, contact details, city and country of residence, age, height, preferred category, a link to your social media or portfolio, and a message introducing yourself. You attach your photographs to your email.
For a professional enquiry, you may provide the shortlisted profiles, your organisation or project, the proposed dates and location, your email address and any information relevant to your enquiry.
Required fields are marked with an asterisk. They provide the information needed to process your enquiry and contact you. All other information is optional.
Preparing and sending your message
The forms prepare an email in your browser. The site does not automatically send the information you enter to the agency or save these fields in the locally stored shortlist.
You choose whether to open your email service or copy the message, then review it, attach any relevant files and send it. The agency receives the information once you have sent it. Your email provider’s processing of your message is also governed by its own terms and conditions.
How your information is used
Your information is used to review your application, answer your questions, consider a professional enquiry and manage correspondence relating to your request. Depending on its nature, this processing is based on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or on the agency’s legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to it.
The information is accessible to the people handling these requests within the agency and to the technical service providers needed for email and hosting. Their access is limited to what they need to perform their tasks.
The site does not make automated decisions about model development support or the selection of applications. Providing an email address for an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.
Data retention
Information received by email is used while your request and correspondence with the agency are being handled. Its subsequent retention depends on the outcome and, where applicable, any contractual relationship entered into. You may contact the agency to find out what information it holds about you and request its erasure under the applicable conditions.
When a contractual relationship is entered into, the information needed to manage it is retained for its duration. Certain documents may then be archived to comply with a legal obligation or allow rights to be exercised.
Your model shortlist
The shortlist uses your browser’s local storage to remember the profiles you have chosen: their identifier, public name, categories, and the paths to their portfolio and thumbnail. This information keeps your shortlist available as you move between pages. It remains available in the same browser until you clear it or delete the site’s data.
This feature does not store your identity or any form fields. You can remove a profile, clear the shortlist on its page or delete it using the button at the bottom of this page. If local storage is unavailable, you can still use your shortlist on the page you have open; it may be lost when you move to another page or reload it.
Browsing and external services
The site does not include advertising trackers or audience measurement tools. The hosting service may process the technical information needed to provide and secure access to the site.
Links to Instagram take you to an external service. Your use of that service and your email service is subject to their providers’ privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the conditions set out in the applicable regulations, you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, or restriction of its processing. You may also exercise your right to object and, where the conditions are met, your right to data portability.
Send your request to scouting@directory-models.com providing the information needed to identify you and locate the relevant correspondence. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, appropriate supporting evidence may be requested.
You will normally receive a response within one month. This period may be extended in the circumstances provided for by the applicable regulations, after you have been informed. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, at www.cnil.fr .
Updating a portfolio
If a published profile concerns you, please contact the agency to request a correction to the information, an update to your photographs or a review of a request relating to your portfolio.
